Artist Statement

I am a photographer who specializes in fine art outdoor photography from the mountains of Northern Arizona to the beaches of Southern California. I love sharing how I experience the outdoors with others through my photography. I try to captures simple moments of beauty.

When I share a photograph I am always hoping to share feelings the photograph portrays with the viewer; every picture has a deeper and very personal meaning and story behind it. If a photo failed to give a story, I wouldn’t share it.

I am a huge advocate for printing photographs. Like many have said before me, a photograph isn’t complete until it is printed and hanging on a wall. I appreciate large prints, especially 16x24” and larger. I want my prints to make an impact in a room. I print my photos on fine art paper and high quality aluminum.

Bio

I was born and raised in New England, and I’ve called Southern California my home since 1990. I don’t remember when my father gave me my first camera, but my earliest memory of taking photos was in 1976 when my father took me to see the Freedom Train when it had stopped in Lowell, MA. Photography was how my father and I bonded growing up. We would spend our weekends traveling around New England taking pictures of the beautiful landscapes, seasonal changes, colorful foliage, historic locations, and varying beaches along the coast.
